摘要

IN time realm, instability and chaos phenomena of a nonlinear optical system have been discussed extensively . In recent years, as much interest was attracted to the transverse effects in nonlinear optics, the study was developed to the spatiotemporalregion. These nonlinear systems include not only the well-known laser amplification systems, but also the photorefractive oscillators. The latter displays rich spatiotemporal phenomena in experiment, such as, optical singularity in transverse pattern, chaotic itineracy and spatiotemporal chaos, thus providing a good physics model for studying spatiotemporal behavior of nonlinear systems.
