November saw the end of Ian Rae's spell as President of the RACI Ian served through an interesting period, during which several important changes were introduced. These include operational and senior management changes in the National Office and at Branch level, the introduction of the Professional Conference Organiser, Ian's representing the RACI at several government-initiated reviews, and preparing submissions for these reviews, and his ensuring that activities such as the Australian National Chemistry Quiz are properly recognised as outstanding components of the RACI. If we include Ian's two years as President Elect, then he has seen the RACI through four often turbulent years and allowed us to enter a period where we can concentrate on stability and growth.
