Early September saw spring fashion week in Melbourne and my friends who follow these things (mostly female) tell me that green is the colour of the season.While the models were strutting the catwalks,Sydney was hosting the 19th International Conference of the World Energy Council with the unfashionable headline 'Rising energy prices could force Australia to reconsider nuclear power'.Of course,after the first enthusiasms,nothing looks more dated than the last season's fashions or last year's energy conference.This consoling thought leads me to note a recent reassessment of one proposal for the greening of our energy future:the hydrogen economy.
