Well, maybe not eternal, but during the day and under a big moon it certainly pulls the light in from open countryside beyond. Bridie's Lightbox, Simon's latest folly here at Bryan's Ground — see his cover drawing — comprises a simple screened deckwith a plain mounted bench. It stands at the far (east) side of Cricket Wood, the arboretum we started on I January 2000.
