摘要

Shooting methods are employed to obtain solutions of the second order differential equation, y" = f(x,y,y'), satisfying the multipoint nonlocal boundary conditions, y(x{sub}0) = y{sub}1, y(x{sub}(n+1)) - ∑ {sub}(i=1){sup}n y(x{sub}i)= y{sub}2, a < x{sub}0 < x{sub}1 < x{sub}(n+1) < b, and y{sub}1,y{sub}2 ∈ R, where f: (a, b) × R{sup}2 → R is continuous. It is assumed that solutions of such problems are unique, when they exist.
