Tense political and economic situation in the domestic market and in the region has had a bad impact on longs demandin Syria, while buying activity in Lebanon remains moderate. Though stocks are half-full in both countries, only Lebanesetraders refill them from time to time, whereas Syrian ones prefer to stay inactive despite a jump in prices for import longs.Besides, demand is not expected to improve significantly until political situation in the region stabilizes.
