The Lewis group led by Jennifer A. Lewis at the University of Illinois has recently developed both silver particle and reactive silver inks and demonstrated their application for printed electronics. Highly concentrated silver particles have been developed for omnidirectional printing of flexible microelec-trodes, pen-on-paper flexible electronics, and conformal printing of 3D electrically small antennas. The patterned microelec-trodes exhibit high conductivity and can withstand repeated bending and stretching to large levels of strain with minimal degradation of their electrical properties.
