摘要

In a future ubiquitous computing environment, it is desirable to utilize networked functions such as software applications and hardware devices so as to synthesize various flexible services. Towards this, we developed a network service synthesize platform STONE. STONE introduces a unique naming systems and enables adaptive function discovery and flexible service synthesis by combining several networked functions in application-level overlaid network. This paper describes a design of service discovery system and two service synthesizing models used in STONE, presents performance evaluation of a Java-based implementation, and shows two prototype applications.
