摘要

There are different purposes for rootstocks. Generally, they are used for diseases and pests as well as getting good quality and more yield, and absorb more nutrients from the soil. Because of different vigour levels of the rootstocks, they are effective for growth and development of scions. The effects of three different pistachio rootstocks (P. vera, P. khinjuk and P. atlantica) on flowering stages of two different cultivars (Kirmizi and Siirt) grafted on the rootstocks were investigated in Turkey during 2001 and 2002. The rootstocks were effective for bud bursting, start, full and end of flowering of the cultivars, depending upon the vigour level of the rootstocks. The rootstocks were effective for vegetative growth and development. The effects were changed between either cultivars or rootstocks..
