Norway's StatoilHydro said Thursday that it has found more oil in the Frigg Delta prospect of production license (PL) 442 off Norway, with proven recoverable volumes estimated at 18 million-35 million bbl. The find is about 21 km east of the abandoned Frigg field and 12 km north of the Froy discovery. The find was made with exploration well 25/2-17, which was drilled in 120 meters of water to a vertical depth of 2,171 meters by the Ocean Vanguard rig. The well will now be plugged and abandoned.
