London-listed explorer Falklands Oil and Gas (FOGL) has placed 112.8 million new ordinary shares in a bid to raise ￡48.5 million ($74.5 million) to fund its up-and-coming two-well drilling program on its acreage to the south of the Falkland Islands. The Leiv Eiriksson rig is expected to arrive in the Falkland Islands in the next 10 days where it will first go to fellow AIM-listed explorer Borders & Southern, before transferring to FOGL for the third and fourth drilling slots (IOD Dec.5’11).
