Oil futures fell on Friday, with Brent crude hitting nine- month lows as a new set of bearish economic data whacked commodities across the board. The US Commerce Department reported that March retail sales fell by 0.4%. Traders said the larger-than- expected drop and last week's anemic March jobs data have highlighted the challenging economic environment and triggered fears that the US economic recovery is stalling.
