US crude rose slightly while Brent dipped on Thursday as traders tried to figure out the oil market's likely direction a day after prices rallied the most in two months. US crude gained almost 2% early in the session before disappointing US economic data curbed investors' enthusiasm after Wednesday's 6% rally (IOD Oct.29'15).
