Global crude markets rallied this week with both the global Brent benchmark and the US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) benchmark trading up for the week, but Brent prices look unsustainable and could see heightened volatility going into next week. Having started the week at $44, Brent broke through the $46 ceiling on Tuesday after bullish noises from Saudi Arabia and heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East spurred a $1.29 crude rally on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
