Oil futures rose sharply on Wednesday as US crude oil inventories fell and the dollar weakened. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported that US commercial crude inventories declined by 2.1 million bbl to 455.9 million bbl in the week ended Sep. 11 -- the steepest decline in more than half a year.
