Statoil has made a gas discovery with the Mdalasini-1 exploration well in Block 2 offshore Tanzania. The discovery of an additional 28.3-51.0 Bcm (1.0-1.8 Tcf) of natural gas in place in the Mdalasini-1 well, brings the total of in-place vol- umes up to around 623.3 Bcm (22 Tcf) in Block 2, Statoil said.
