US-based Sofec has been awarded a Letter of Award from Malaysia’s MISC Offshore Floating Terminals (MOFT) to supply an external turret for a Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel that will be installed on the Benchamas 2 project in the Gulf of Thailand (GoT). Sofec will undertakethe Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the external turret, including fabrication of the rigid arm supporting the turret head. The external turret will be constructed in Malaysia and delivery is planned for November 2017.
