Parkcrsburs— Appalachian Shale" Cracker Enterprise LLC (Ascent) has reached an agreement with Range Resources for the supply of ethane feedstock to Ascent's proposed petrochemical project in Parkersburg, W. Virginia (PCN 31 Mar 2014, p 2). The Ascent project, planned as a partnership of Ode-brecht and Braskem, involves an ethane cracker and three downstream polyethylene plants. Range has committed to supply the project with 5,000 b/d of ethane for a term of 15 years. Antero Resources earlier this year signed an agreement to supply 30,000 b/d of ethane to Ascent contingent upon Ascent completing its feasibility study and reaching a final investment decision.
