Industries Qatar confirmed that Qatar Fuel Additives Co. (Qafac) has officially launched its new carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery plant in Mesaieed, Qatar (PCN, 2 Feb 2015, p 1). The facility is designed to capture over 500 t/d of CO2, which will be injected into Qafac's existing 982,350 t/y methanol plant, allowing for a 46,000-t/y increase in methanol capacity.
