Premier Oil and its partner Rockhopper Exploration have agreed to farm down a stake in the planned Sea Lion project off the Falkland Islands to Tel Aviv-listed Navitas Petroleum in a move that may help to kick-start development. The three companies inked a heads of terms that gives Navitas a 30% stake in the 530 million bbl Sea Lion development. Under the agreement, the interests across Sea Lion licenses PL032, PL004b and PL004c will be aligned to leave operator Premier with a 40% stake and Rockhopper with 30%.
