Recent trans-Atlantic diesel tanker fixtures - made against the usual flow of fuel as record cold weather gripped the US Northeast last week - appear to have been canceled. Swiss trader Vitol's Amalia was discharging its Russian diesel cargo in Rotterdam Monday after earlier orders to head to St. Croix in the Caribbean were changed over the weekend. The ship was carrying 60,000 metric tons (473,000 barrels) of Russian ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) loaded from Primorsk Dec. 29.
