When energy ministers from Russia and Saudi Arabia meet in Jeddah on Friday, the key players in the Opec, non-Opec production cut deal can be satisfied that their goal of eliminating the global oil glut has largely been achieved. What happens after the current agreement expires at the end of this year is now the key question, as consensus builds that some sort of extension will be needed.
