London—Monthly alloy surcharges on austenitic grades of stainless steel flat-rolled products in Europe are set to fall to 14-month lows in April on the back of slumping nickel prices in the face of the coronavirus pan- demic, first mill announcements indicated Monday. Finland’s Outokumpu, the continent’s largest producer, set its alloy adjustment factor for type 304 (4301) flat products at €1,296/mt ($1,393/mt) for April, down €73/mt from March to the lowest level since February 2019.
