The subject of photochemical processes on solid surfaces is developing rapidly. It deals with all those chemical and physicochemical phenomena which are particular to the surface of a solid, or to the interface between a solid and a gas, a liquid, or another solid. Because of the rapid progress in instrumentation coupled with advances in experimental and theoretical techniques, an entirely new subject of photochemistry has emerged. This national symposium was intended to present an overview of the latest developments in this field.
