The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is proud to feature Elizabeth Arendt, MD, FACSM, in this issue’s Clinician Profile. Dr. Arendt is a professor and vice chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Minnesota. She has served as a medical director for men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletics at the University of Minnesota for 30 years and continues to be a team physician for select female sports. She is also a nationally recognized speaker on knee conditions with an emphasis on those that are more frequent in women, particularly ACL injuries and patellofemoral concerns.
