The coal production in the U.S. has dropped dramatically because the almost whole area of this country has beenhit by a record-setting big chill since the end of December 2017.In fact, the coal production volume in the 52nd week (one week till December 30) of the year 2017 in the U.S.stayed at 10.482 million short tons (ST), down by as much as 4.09 million ST (28.1%) from the year-earlier week (oneweek till December 24).
