Christen and colleagues (2016) reflect on the ethical challenges that arise from simulation-driven big data neuroscience, in particular the Human Brain Project (HBP). Using the structural features of size, data, and money and the technical features of trust, community, truth, and credibility, they identify specific ethical issues and develop a set of recommendations. These considerations are welcome as part of a broader discourse concerning the ethical questions of this type of research.
