Sir, - We appreciate being given the opportunity to respond to the questions raised by Professor Meyer regarding the Socratec study by Anschutz et al. [1]. Some of these questions have been addressed in a separate letter by Professor Blume on behalf of Socratec. In our letter, we respond to Meyer's statements regarding the clinical relevance of the differences in formulation and dissolution behavior and the delayed absorption of Mylan's extended release nifedipine. We also address Meyer's comments regarding the clinical implications of these data.
