The end of March has corne and we hope we've seen the last of the snow, y at least the forecast says we should be ok in the South. The snow that was forecast as we came into March definitely came in abundance. As we live an area which has always been primarily a grain-growing place, we are well aware that spring corn has not been planted. Manure was spread a month ago but they cannot start ploughing as it would mess up the ground. We do have grass growing in the fields but even where there are sheep it becomes muddy after a while. The geese are laying very well this year and from 7 females we already have 135 eggs. The ducks have been a bit slow but most are at least 4 years old.
