Economic forecasts for 2019-2020 look safe for: GDP growth 3.5%;Interest rates 3-4%;Inflation 2.5-3.5%;Crude oil $65-$70/bbl;Business spending up 4-5%.TRENDS;K2019,the Plastic Industry's preeminent trade show,to be held in Dusseldorf,Germany October 16-23,2019,is fully booked...over 3000 exhibits,covering 1.8 million square feet,expects more than 200,000 visitors.The Gardner Business Index(GBI),a respected plastics processing matrix,started 2019 at 54,6,indicating expansion in production.It has continued its upward trend into 1Q 2019,forecasting continued single digit growth in our industry.There's mounting evidence that economic momentum is waning in Europe and in response the Europesn Central Bank is stepping up stimulus moves.Globally,however,banks are well positioned to weather choppier markets and financial outlooks are optimistic.
