Increased end-user activity in the Syrian long product market has resulted in traders' dwindled inventories. Thus, the latter have rushed to re-stock, mainly in the domestic market in view of shorter delivery time. Local producers have seized the moment and pushed prices up $32-53/t (SYP 1.5-2.5/kg) compared to the last week levels, referring to continuing increase in import billet prices. The situation in the market has confused the buyers before weekends.
