摘要

Unfortunately, we again have a relatively ~(thin) issue of our journal, as I have not received any review or scientific contributions over the last months. I would thus like to call on all of the members of the International Liquid Crystal Society to consider writing an article about their latest research, or maybe a review of their favourite liquid crystal research aspects. Group leaders can encourage their more junior colleagues to summarise their work so far, and get their name noticed, tell the world what exciting topics they are investigating. Experienced or retired colleagues could think about contributing articles about the history of the greatest liquid crystal related discoveries. I sincerely think that it is important for the field that such stories will not be forgotten with time. And I am sure that many colleagues will appreciate such historical accounts. Please do remember that this is a society journal, and it can only be as responsive and interesting as you, the contributors, make it.
