Adsorption-Desorption of Tebuconazole in Three Soils

Adsorption-desorption data obtained by batch equilibration method in three Indian soils of different agro climatic regions (Almora, UttraKhand; Jhargram, Kolkatta, West Bengal and IARI, New Delhi) at a concentration range from 2 to 10 ug mL~(-1) fitted well in the Freundlich adsorption equation. Highest adsorption was observed in Almora followed by IARI and Jhargram soils, and was explained on the basis of K_(oc) values of 1236.86, 780.51 and 539.64 respectively and 1/n values of 1.77, 1.02 and 0.68 respectively. Desorption followed the reverse order. Hysteresis was positive for Almora and IARI soils (H=0.50 and 0.99 respectively) and negative for Jhargram (H= 2.24).
