The European Commission has issued guidance for agrochemical applications and evaluations in preparation for the new EU agrochemical registration Regulation (1107/2009), which starts to be implemented in member states next month (Agrow No 614, pp 8-9). The three guidance documents cover: the preparation and submission of application dossiers for products and active ingredients according to the "risk envelope approach"; the zonal evaluation and mutual recognition of product approvals; and the renewal, withdrawal and amendment of product authorisations. All are working documents of the Commission Services and are not legally binding.
