The boom in the use of UAVs in support of commercial operations has continued as industries that are not typical 'aviators' realise the benefits of being able to carry out surveys at a low cost, but as this market has flourished, customer awareness and demands are growing. In the field of critical infrastructure management, aircraft are not typically used as they are expensive to operate, whereas other methods, such as personnel physically walking a line to inspect it, are time-consuming and not necessarily as effective as an aerial shot that would offer a more enhanced perspective.
