摘要

Modern measurement theory complements and extends classic test theory in evaluating and understanding the performance of items and scales for assessing patient-reported outcomes. Although the main value of item response theory and Rasch analysis is understanding the performance of items at the actual response level, there are other related applications of this family of psychometric methods. The recent study by Bushma-kin et al applied the graphic display of person-item fit statistics to further understand the measurement range and coverage of the Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction (EDITS) across its constituent items and subjects completing these items.
