摘要

Three-phase converter topologies are being developed to achieve higher efficiency and greater downsizing.Passive components, such as reactors and capacitors,prevent power converters from being donwnsized.Magnetic components in the power converter are used as a boost-up reactor, an EMI filter, and input and output filters. The EMI filter is an especially, important issue in power electronics because it occupies a large volume.This paper describes the basic topology and operationof rectifiers and inverters. In addition, a multi-level converter and a matrix converter are introduced. The multi-level converter can reduce the harmonics component of the output voltage. The matrix converter does not require a large reactor to suppress the inputcurrent harmonics. Therefore, these converters can accomplish downsizing including that of the EMI filter and boost-up reactor.
