摘要

Industrial structure is about to change from agriculture toward higher industry in Southeast Asia, and changes in national level socio-economic situations, relationsnip in family and community, natural environments etc may affect the children's imageof agriculture and rural areas. In order to maintain and strengthen agricultural productivity, researches on productivity enhancement in rainfed lowland rice in Cambodia (Nguyen, 2011) and on reinforcement of resilience of agricultural production againstclimate change in Red River Delta in Vietnam (Nguyen et al" 2014, Dinh et al., 2014, this volume) have been conducted. It will be a key issue to sustain and nurture rural community and to develop young generation who can make a good use of outcome of these researches for agricultural production. Children's image on agriculture and rural area are compared in contrasting regions between Vietnam and Cambodia and between urban and rural areas in order to assist more effective rural development and agricultural education in future.
