摘要

Characteristics of intensely evaporating capillary liquid jets under vacuum conditions are investigated experimentally. Instability of subcooled liquid jets is studied. An experimental facility was developed and constructed for carrying out this work. Water was used as the working liquid. In the experiments the effect of jet deviation from the initial vertical direction of discharge, the effect of jet downturn, was revealed. This effect manifests itself at pressures close to the triple point pressure. The jet downturn direction is random; the jet deviation depends on the jet diameter, the discharge velocity, and the pressure in the vacuum chamber.
