Gail is offering up to 1 million tons/yr of LNG from its US portfolio for sale for about 20 years on free-on-board basis with supplies starting in 2018, the state-owned gas utility's Singapore unit said in a notice on its website. Gail opened its LNG trading unit, Gail Global Singapore Pte. Ltd, in November 2011, joining scores of players from across the globe who have been setting up bases in Singapore as it has emerged as regional hub for LNG trade (WGI Nov.20'13). The Singapore unit would help India's largest gas pipeline network operator gain experience and help it expand its trading business globally.
