Russia's Slavneft, owned 50-50 by producers TNK-BP and Gazprom Neft, said its proven oil reserves increased 10.3% in 2010, thanks largely to successful exploration and improved drilling techniques. Oil reserves under US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) criteria on a life-of-field basis, excluding license validi-t y, rose by 152.1 million bbl to 1.636 billion bbl, producing a reserve-replacement ratio of 213%. According to an audit by DeGolyer and MacNaughton, proved gas reserves increased 3.9% to 274.8 Bcf. Proven oil reserves according to less-strict PRMS (formerly US Society of Petroleum Engineers) criteria totaled 7.384 billion bbl, up 45.1%, while gas reserves dropped to 640.4 Bcf from 685.2 Bcf.
