The UK's Premier Oil will start output from the Chim Sao field in Vietnam's Nam Con Son basin in August this year, a month later than originally anticipated, the firm said last week in its interim management statement. The development concept for the Dua field, to be tied in to Chim Sao, continues to be refined although front-end engineering and design (Feed) studies are complete. Peak output is expected to be 60 MMcf/d of gas and 25,000 b/d of liquids. The fields are located in Block 12W, adjacent to the firm's 07-03 Block, where appraisal work at the 2009 Ca Rong Do discovery continues (IOD Apr.12,p9).
