Bahrain's cabinet has approved a new pricing system for diesel and kerosene to be implemented in the new year following similar action by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states that have cut fuel subsidies amid lower oil prices in a bid to bolster public finances. "The measure is based on the recommendations of the ministerial committee in charge of financial affairs and rationalized spending," reported Bahrain's state news agency, BNA, citing Energy Minister Abdul Hussein bin Ali Mirza following a cabinet meeting held on Monday.
