Oman has set up a joint venture that will be responsible for constructing a massive crude oil storage facility along the country's eastern coast capable of storing up to 200 million barrels of crude. The government is also eyeing the possibility of using the same location as an alternative for Omani crude exports in case operations at the Mina al-Fahal terminal -- now the country's only export facility -- are disrupted.
