Madrid— Compania Espanola de Petroleos (Cepsa) is building a second metaxylene unit for supply to Indorama Ventures Pcl's (IVL) co-located site in San Roque, Spain, under an exclusive supply agreement. The new Sorbex unit, nearly identical to the first unit, will have a capacity of up to 70,000 t/y of metaxylene. Together with the existing metaxylene unit, Cepsa will be able to supply the entire production to IVL's site, which is integrated with Cepsa's refinery Production from the new plant is expected to come on stream in 2018.
