Hanoi—State-owned PetroVietnam has proposed the government lower taxes imposed on gasoil produced from its 130,000 b/d refinery at Dung Quat to help boost sales, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical said in a statement last Friday. BSR is the operator of the refinery and is wholly owned by PetroVietnam. Under the proposal, PetroVietnam wants the import duty levied on its diesel output to be cut to 7% from 10%, BSR said.
