Washington—President Barack Obama arrived in Alaska Monday and intensified his call for action to combat climate change. But Obama’s message has not been received well by many environmentalists, who have painted the president’s climate words as hypocritical given his recent actions allowing Shell to drill in federal waters offshore Alaska’s coast for the first time in decades.
