Sustainable agriculture is defined as the production of adequate amounts of food to satisfy the human demand while emphasizing the efficient use of natural resources. This practice generates incomes for farmers with less impact to the environment (Galarza, 2016). Small farmers in the developing world face many problems due to low value of their crops, rising costs, environmental degradation due to soil and chemical overuse, as well as climate change (Padilla, 2016). Yet small farmers can provide thekey to a brighter future and the chance to meet the Sus-tainability Goals put forward by the United Nations (2016).
