摘要

Kiln operators must have reliable temperature data from the kiln to detect hot spots, prevent failures and to extend the life of kiln refractory. In recent decades, infrared (IR) kiln shell scanning systems have been used to monitor the temperature of the kiln shell. With the new developments in uncooled microbolometers, an improving price/performance ratio and a trend towards mass production, it is now very attractive to use thermal camera-based monitoring systems to solve these applications. These new systems can offer innovative solutions. VisionTIR has developed several applications based in thermal-cameras to solve different needs and requirements of cement plants, with the ultimate aims of offering optimised kiln maintenance and reduced maintenance costs due to less damage and unscheduled downtime.
