The Polish Land Forces intend for the Borsuk IFV to serve as an indigenously developed and manufactured replacement for their large, antiquated fleet of 1,200 BMP-1 series vehicles. HSW intends to begin serial production of the Borsuk IFV in 2022, but financial constraints from the COVID-19 pandemic will delay procurement until 2023. Production forecast reflects anticipated Borsuk IFV procurement by the Polish Land Forces. A tracked infantry combat vehicle. The Polish Ministry of National Defense sponsors development of the Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle (IFV).
